Curative Care is looking for individuals with disabilities and/or limiting conditions to join it's community-based Landscape Maintenance Services team. The Landscape Maintenance Services team provides training, employment, and a sense of purpose for men and women with disabilities and/or other limiting conditions who share an inspiring work ethic. Members of the team work side-by-side among supervisors and workers with and without disabilities.
Maintains grounds, plants, shrubs and surrounding green space as specified by customer. Work is laid out and frequently checked for quality by a supervisor. Uses simple equipment such as a push mower, leaf blower, and spin trimmer. Uses hand tools such as a trash pickup reacher, scoop shovel, rake, garden fork, wheelbarrow, hand pruner, weeder and spade. Performs one to two step repetitive tasks such as weed pulling, hand pruning, raking, picking up trash, and shoveling. Employee works with ongoing supervision, coaching and training of job tasks.

Physical Demands:Standing, walking, bending, stepping and reaching above shoulder height on a regular basis. May need to lift up to 50 lbs from floor to waist. Requires gross and fine motor skills including grasping and manipulating lightweight items, finger and thumb opposition, reaching in front and to the sides. Requires sufficient upper extremity strength and coordination to handle equipment and tools listed above
Environmental Conditions: Outside conditions including temperature variability from -15 degrees to 98 degrees Fahrenheit. Exposed to windy conditions and light to moderate precipitation. Exposed to plant pollen, sunlight and insects. Various work settings subject to interruptions, moderate to loud noise and other environmental conditions.
